Software Engineer - Ruby (f/m/d)

Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer as soon as possible. You will be part of our backend team that builds the Rails API for the nebenan.de platform.

You will work closely together with a team of backend people, mostly Berlin based. We try to meet once a week in the office but most of the time we all work from home.

Discuss, plan, test and implement features.
Be part of a self-sufficient SCRUM team and collaborate with frontend developers and the product team
Work closely with other team members, engaging in respectful discussions, pair programming, and sharing your knowledge
Contribute to our diverse tech stack, including Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST JSON API, and Elasticsearch

Your profile

Experience and enjoy maintaining and further developing a large web application and you are familiar with tools such as GIT and Ruby
5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
No fear in addressing architectural challenges
You know how to write well-structured and tested code
You like mentoring and pair programming
Effective communication in English; German language skills are a plus
